Zodiac Secured Card and Zodiac Unsecured Card

Effective August 2026 · Revision 2026.08

Annual percentage rate (APR)

The APR for purchases on the Zodiac Secured Card and the Zodiac Unsecured Card is a variable rate of 13.0%, the same on both products for the life of the account and on every network (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Not tiered by credit profile.

Tier profile does not apply — the unsecured and secured cards both price at a flat 13.0% APR.

The variable rate is determined by adding a margin to the U.S. prime rate published in The Wall Street Journal on the last business day of the prior calendar month. The rate may change on the first day of each billing cycle if the index has changed. Each change applies to the entire unpaid balance and to new purchases from that date forward.

Under the Credit CARD Act, if this APR increases for any reason, we will not charge the new rate on purchases made before the increase until the start of the second billing cycle after the notice — a 25-day rate-loss window applies before the higher rate takes effect on existing balances.

The all-in effective annual rate, assuming continuous compounding across a 365-day year, historically tracks at 19.99% over a representative billing cycle and is included for comparison only.

Secured Card vs. Unsecured Card

The APR, fees, finance-charge method, grace period, minimum interest charge, billing-cycle length, and bureau reporting are identical across the Secured and Unsecured products. The two differences are the credit-limit basis and the security interest.

How we calculate the finance charge

The finance charge on the Zodiac line is calculated using the Average Daily Balance method, including new balances. We add each day's starting balance, add any new purchases and balance adjustments, subtract any payments or credits, then take the mean of those daily balances over the billing cycle. We multiply the result by the daily periodic rate (APR ÷ 365) and by the number of days in the cycle.

There is no grace period assessed on cash advances. For purchases, a grace period of 21 days applies: a finance charge is not assessed on new purchases if the entire previous statement balance is paid in full by the payment due date shown on that statement.

If a finance charge would otherwise round to less than $0.50, we charge a $0.50 minimum interest charge in that cycle. A finance charge is never assessed on a cycle in which the balance is zero.

Billing cycle summary

Each Zodiac account runs on a billing cycle of approximately 30 days. The statement closing date is printed on every statement; transactions post in the cycle in which the merchant settles them. The payment due date is at least 21 days after the closing date, satisfying Reg Z §226.5(b)(2)(iii).

On a partial payment, we still assess the finance charge under the Average-Daily-Balance method on the portion of the balance that remains unpaid after the partial payment posts. We do not extend the due date on a partial payment, and we do not add late fees until the due date has passed.

When a payment exceeds the minimum payment due, we apply it — in the order required by Reg Z §226.10 — first to the balance with the highest APR, then to balances with successively lower APRs, and only after those balances are zero to any cash advance and then to any late or returned-payment fees.

Bureau reporting

We report your Zodiac account history — on-time payments, balance, credit limit, payment history, and any graduation event from the Secured Card to the Unsecured Card — to Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax on every billing cycle. This reporting begins with your first posted statement and continues for the life of the account, including any positive history after graduation.

Reg Z disclosure boxes

These are the federal disclosure boxes required by Regulation Z §226.18, illustrated with a representative example of a $1,000 amount financed repaid over 12 months at a 13% APR with equal monthly payments.

Finance Charge

$72.08

The total dollar amount the credit will cost, expressed in dollars and cents over the 12-month term.

Amount Financed

$1,000.00

The amount of credit provided to you, before any finance charge is added.

Total of Payments

$1,072.08

The total amount you will have paid after 12 equal monthly payments of $89.34.

The figures above are an illustration of how the 13% APR amortizes over 12 months. Your APR is 13% on every Zodiac card — secured and unsecured. Your actual payment schedule will be determined by your APR, the amount financed, and the term you select.

Billing rights summary

If you believe there is an error on your statement, write to us at the error-reporting address on your statement within 60 days of the statement date. We will investigate and respond within 30 days, and within two billing cycles (but no more than 90 days total) we will correct any confirmed error. While the investigation is open, you do not have to pay the disputed amount, but the undisputed portion of the bill is still subject to late fees if unpaid by the due date. This summary is required by the Fair Credit Billing Act (15 U.S.C. §1666). Detailed rules are described in the cardholder agreement.

Right of rescission

Not applicable. The Zodiac Secured Card and the Zodiac Unsecured Card are not dwelling-secured transactions within the meaning of Reg Z §226.15, so the three-business-day right of rescission does not apply.

Security interest

On the Zodiac Secured Card, we hold a security interest in the refundable deposit that funds your starting credit limit. The deposit is held in a custodial account at the issuing bank and is returned in full when the account graduates to the unsecured product or when the account is closed with a zero balance. No security interest is taken on the Zodiac Unsecured Card.

Governing law

These disclosures are governed by federal Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z, 12 C.F.R. §226) and, where applicable, the Credit CARD Act of 2009. State-law consumer protections are not waived.

Error reporting

Send written billing-error notices to the error-reporting address printed on your statement. Include your name, account number, the dollar amount and date of the suspected error, and a description of what you believe is wrong. We will acknowledge your notice within 30 days and complete the investigation within two billing cycles.
